About me
I am a community and historical herbalist, and human rights activist.
An independent researcher with my areas of interest being women in medicine, the intersection of medicine and magic, heritage remedies, herbal history, medicine and empire.
The founding director and facilitator of Movement in Thyme CIC, a grassroots non-profit aiming to make herbalism accessible, grow herbal gardens for community resilience, and support marginalised groups and people seeking sanctuary with workshops and herbal remedies. www.movementinthyme.com
I am the co-founder, director and facilitator of The Historical Herbalists CIC a living history and re-enactment education group focusing on preserving and promoting our intangible cultural heritage and delivering interactive period workshops. www.historicalherbalists.com
As Wise Herbal Ways I aim to combine both of the aims of my CIC’s: herbs, women’s empowerment, history, medicine, magic, accessibility, mental health and looking at systems of oppression.
I hope to awaken the seed of animism and rebellion, awakening the wild within you to remind you of the sacredness and consciousness of everything on the planet – plants, stones, rivers….to reconnect you to our ancestral knowledge through reconnecting with the ancestors and our plantcestors. I hope that as we empower ourselves, we spin and weave a new world for our collective liberation.
